Diving Into Rover.com, my review

If like me, you simply despise the idea of leaving your beloved pet canine all alone in a strange kennel or in the home while you are away, then Rover.com is for you. You can also get a $20 credit for your first stay by using this link.

Rover.com has made my life easier as I can now go on that long awaited vacation without feeling guilty for my pet or make the most of my dinner date without having a nagging worry about how my pet would be managing itself back home.

I just search for the right sitter on Rover, make the booking, pay, and that’s it!

Browse, Check, Select

With a nation-wide network of dog walkers and sitters, Rover.com offers services such as dog boarding, house sitting, drop-in visits, doggy day care, and dog walking.

Each time I want to use their service, I browse through the latest profiles of dog sitters in my area and check out a few reviews about them. The site lets me schedule a free in-person Meet and Greet before making the payment. This way I can ensure that I have found the perfect sitter for my pet.

I have tried their dog boarding as well as house sitting services for those times when I wanted someone to keep an eye on my house besides minding my sweet little pet. The booking process is very similar for both services.

Safe and Secure Online Payments

Rover has a secure platform for processing all payments, thus eliminating the need for cash transactions, checks, and even tips. All new sitters are subjected to a background check, are required to provide a detailed profile and personal information, and are vetted by a team of sitter specialists.

Stay Updated

The sitters I book through Rover keep sending me photo updates of my pet on a daily basis while I am away for work or leisure. This lets me sleep easy knowing that my pet is being cared for and is happy with his temporary caregiver. The Rover app is super-efficient when it comes to tracking my pet and getting real time updates from my sitter.

Complete Peace of Mind

All bookings are accompanied by the Rover Guarantee, 24//7 support, and reservation protection. The Rover Guarantee offers reimbursements in case of certain kinds of damages or injuries that can occur during a service booked and paid through Rover.

Though I haven’t had reason to utilize the Guarantee, the reservation protection feature definitely came in handy once. Due to unavoidable reasons, the sitter I booked had to cancel, leaving me wondering if I would have to forgo our annual family getaway.

Rover.com not just found me an equally worthy replacement, but also covered the difference in cost as my new booking was a little more expensive than the original!

Competitive Prices

I have found that the rates can vary marginally depending on location and the sitter’s experience or rating. However, most of my bookings have ranged between $20 and $50 per night for dog boarding while house sitting rates cost me anywhere from $15 to $55, which I think is reasonable. Doggy day care is what I’m planning to try out next on Rover.

I have previously used other similar services, but somehow I never felt the kind of comfort and confidence I get when I book through Rover. It could be because of their thorough background checks about the sitters and their cordial customer service and communication. If you care for your pet as passionately as I do, you are going to love Rover.com.
